Help Preserve, Protect and Enhance the Lagoon!


The Batiquitos Lagoon Foundation is a volunteer driven non-profit dedicated to preserving all elements of the Batiquitos Lagoon, protecting wildlife and enhancing the trails and habitat for our community and visitors. 


By becoming a Foundation Member, you are supporting our efforts to preserve this precious resource for North County residents! Specific ongoing projects included trail development/maintenance, native plantings/invasive plant removal, water quality testing/monitoring, educational events and ongoing advocacy.

Individual Membership Levels & Benefits


$30 - Individual

1-year membership includes the BLF Newsletter, a 10% discount on Annual Kayak Cleanup Event tickets, a 10% discount on purchases at the Nature Center Gift Shop, annual President’s Report, and a BLF decal for new members (Membership discounted by $5 for students or adults age 55+).


$50 - Family

1-year memberships for two family members living at the same address, includes “Individual” benefits.


$100 - Sponsor

1-year membership includes “Family” benefits plus exclusive BLF Tote Bag* and 20% discount on Annual Kayak Cleanup Event tickets.


$250 - Patron

1-year membership includes “Sponsor” benefits plus a BLF T-Shirt* and an enhanced 20% discount on purchases at the Nature Center Gift Shop.


$500 - Sustaining

1-year membership includes “Patron” benefits plus a private guided nature tour (reservation required) and a complimentary kayak at the BLF Annual Kayak Cleanup event. 


$1,000 - Benefactor

1-year membership includes “Sustaining” benefits plus a special evening event and one small brick dedication in BLF’s Brick Program.


$5,000 - Lifetime

Membership for life, includes “Benefactor” benefits plus one large brick dedication in BLF’s Brick Program and a private meeting with the BLF Board.

$500 - White-tailed Kite

1-year membership includes company name listed in monthly newsletter, plus company logo on BLF website for one year.


$1,000 - Red-tailed Hawk

1-year membership includes “White-tailed Kite” benefits, one free tandem kayak at Annual Kayak Cleanup Event plus a private guided nature tour for up to twelve people (reservation required).


$2,500 - Great Egret

1-year membership includes “Red-tailed Hawk” benefits, three free tandem kayaks at Annual Kayak Cleanup Event, plus one dedicated “Thank You” email acknowledgement to the BLF newsletter list.


$5,000 - Osprey

1-year membership includes “Great Egret” benefits plus five free tandem kayaks at Annual Kayak Cleanup Event or engage in one “Hosted” corporate teambuilding event at the lagoon (reservation required).
