Dave Weller, PhD of NOAA has been studying whales and dolphins for over 40 years.  This month he shares the diversity of dolphins in our local waters, with a focus on local bottlenose dolphins from his studies since the 1980s.  Ages 15+. No cost, no reservations.


Saturday, January 11th | Wetlands in the Time of Change

Christine Whitcraft, PhD of CSU Long Beach will discuss the importance and functioning of the wetlands of the southern California region, including a framework for monitoring estuarine Marine Protected Areas throughout California which she and her collaborative team are currently developing.  Ages 15+.  No cost, no reservations.


Saturday, February 8th | Indigenous Herps

Botanist and Herpetologist Vince Scheidt will talk about his work with San Diego County reptiles and amphibians, including what surveys suggest about population increases or decreases of species, and species we might expect to encounter around the lagoon.  Ages 15+. No cost, no reservations.
